Dr Otho Miedler accepted the award on behalf of Kiwanis with county officials as luncheon guests. Henry Detling presided as vice president.

She described receiving a typewritten, unsigned paper from Captain Paul Foley via Mrs. George Steele, which she tore up, and said Foley pressed her to rehearse and alter her statements.
Sturgeon Bay report says Teddy Duwn Charme was killed last night when his car veered at the intersection of routes 17 and 78. The steering wheel reportedly broke, the vehicle crashed, and he died an hour after being rushed to the hospital.
