Youthful burglars arrested after spree ends with capture

Three youths aged 10 to 13 were caught burglarizing the Aldag and Burhop store after a spree that included break ins at Morton Salt Co and Greek store. Officer Wieland captured them as they pried a basement window. Confessions point to meetings at Fourth Ward school grounds and planned raids between 8 and 9 pm. Police expect further arrests as investigations continue.

Knife Attack On Wollert Near Old Church Site

Four men attacked Wm Wollert last night just south of Indiana Avenue on South Eighth Street near the old church site. He received a shoulder wound and cuts to the head after fleeing into the former church opening. Patrol and Dr Scheer treated him. further action unknown.

Milwaukee Milk Ordinance Upheld by Supreme Court

The Milwaukee Wisconsin ordinance requiring milk from cows tested for tuberculosis was upheld today by the United States Supreme Court. The decision, announced in Washington on May 12, confirms the validity of the local measure enforcing pasteurization and health standards for city milk supplies.

Fair, cooler in the west tonight and Tuesday

Deferral in case of State vs William Trotter in Milwaukee

Sentence deferred today in the State of William Trotter case. He faced a serious offense involving Gertrude Caan of Sheboygan Falls whom he took to Milwaukee overnight and spent the following day with before authorities detained them. The defense urged a guilty plea in circuit court citing a nervous breakdown, while the district attorney maintained the girl had a good reputation prior to the incident. The judge noted the defendant’s condition and the girl’s dependents, and stated the information and plea dictate the next steps.

Henry Feld Dies of Pneumonia at St Nicholas Hospital

Henry Feld 1616 North Eleventh street died at 3 10 AM at St Nicholas hospital after a two month illness with pneumonia. Survived by wife five children Esther Arno Harvey Gilbert Roland his father Philip Feld Milwaukee a sister Mrs Fred Maers eh Milwaukee and two brothers Charles Feld Milwaukee and Jacob Feld. Funeral Thursday at 2 PM from home with burial in Lutheran cemetery Rev Horstmeier officiating. Feld born September 26 1868 in Town of Mosel came to the city at fourteen and married November 5 1893. Formerly grocery clerk at H C Prange company and Kroos Heer mann Enterprise and Otten stores. He was well known and many friends offer condolences.

Boy Struck By Wagon Near Hardware Store

A seven year old boy was run down by a farmer's wagon near Prange Geussenhainer hardware on North Highth street. He was taken to a local physician, treated for injuries, and returned home after being stunned. The wagon driver did not see the boy until after the incident.

Five Texas Pipe Line workers killed by lightning near Collinsville

Five Texas Pipe Line company employees were instantly killed when lightning struck their car en route to an oil field three miles from Collinsville Oklahoma. Two others were probably fatally injured in the same incident.
