Official Program Announced for Colonial Minstrel Show

The Colonial Minstrel Show opens at the Opera House with 8:15 curtain. Producer Charles R. Johnson leads a long cast including Rich Warner as Interlocutor and Theo Baumgartner as Endmen. The program features two pictures, songs, jests, dances, and a Great Levitation illusion. Marion Paulson of Milwaukee will preside at the piano.

Grandma Clark Celebrates 103rd Birthday in Sheboygan County

Grandma Clark, oldest resident of Sheboygan County, marked her 103rd birthday at W. W. Ford's home with about sixty guests. Born May 1, 1811 in Stranstead Canada East, she married in 1829 and moved to Cascade area in 1855, where she has lived since. She has twelve children, 38 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

Plymouth Druggist R W Jennings Dies at 9

R W Jennings a Plymouth druggist and prominent young businessman died Sunday morning after an illness dating to last fall. Born January 18 1880 in Tomah Wis he moved to Plymouth after schooling and buying Pfeifer’s drug business later moving to Wahldreck block. Survived by wife daughter mother and three sisters. services planned in Plymouth Chilton and burial to follow. The Press extends condolences to the family.

Monte Negro to submit fate of Scutari to powers

London May 5 Sir Edward Grey the British foreign minister said Monte negro must unconditionally place the future of Scutari in the hands of the European powers. King Nicholas action at the last moment relieved tension and drew wide satisfaction. Diplomats and public hope the move ends any need for military incursions into Albania by Austria and Italy.

Extra John Kraus Takes His Life

John Kraus a 38 year old Russian born man, employed at the Kohler plant, was found dead by hanging in the woodshed at 915 Erie Avenue shortly after 4 am. His wife, severely burned last December, remains seriously ill and cared for by Mrs. Anna Mertz who aided after the discovery. The coroner and undertaker were called, and the funeral is scheduled for Tuesday at Ballhorn.

Pope Pius XVI Grants First Audience After Illness

In Rome on May 5 the pope gave an audience for the first time since illness. Cardinal Ferrata, who had just returned from Malta where he presided over the Eucharistic congress as papal delegate, received the honor.

Pay As You Enter Car Trial to Run on Calumet Line

A pay as you enter car will be added on the Calumet and Lake View line tomorrow for a trial period. After a few days on this branch it will switch to the east side. New rules will govern operation and patrons should get posted immediately.

Minstrel Show Tickets Have Evening Specific Numbers

Notice to patrons that tickets reserved for the Minstrel show are valid only for the evening matching their number. Tuesday tickets are numbered 83 and Wednesday tickets 84, with each ticket good only on its respective evening.
