At a Water Commission meeting in the council chamber President Dieckmann reported a by-pass at the Sheboygan Railway and Electric Co. plant allowed water to be used without passing through the meter. About 250 000 gallons per month were used unrecorded over two years. The commission directed Dieckmann to pursue payment from the company and determine the amount owed. The board also instructed Dieckmann to return a $2,000 certified check tied to an Allis Chalmers pump bid. Regular monthly bills were ordered paid.

Josiah Perkins traffic manager of Atlantic Refining company was killed when his car sped from Washington to meet his father and struck a tree. The accident occurred near Philadelphia and Perkins was instantly dead.
Huerta weighing release of official letters from the Madero era alleging the late president urged anti American feeling. He allegedly ordered immediate firing on American marines if landings occurred from U S warships and sent wires to governors that marines had landed at Vera Cruz, demanding loyalty.

About thirty five property owners gathered in the council rooms to discuss a proposed concrete pavement on High avenue from South Twelfth street to about 300 feet east of South Seventh street. Underground sewer and gas connections will be laid this year and paving to start early next year with nearly all owners in favor.

Citizens of Sheboygan extend congratulations to Mayor Stolze for renomination without opposition. Norwell Mass March 8 Rear Admiral Joseph Eaton retired after commanding transport Resolute and informing Admiral Sampson of the fleet's departure from San Diego harbor triggering a naval victory. He died suddenly at home on Sunday.
Charles Cramer Conway and Beatrice Ryall Conway found guilty of murdering Baltimore heiress Beatrice Singer. Conway given life, Ryall Conway sentenced to fourteen years. George Remus, counsel for Ryall Conway, argued the confessions were true and the wife lied to save her husband. Assistant State's Attorney Fleming sought death for both. Judge Kersten instructed that one confession cannot be used against the other. Jurors reported a first ballot guilty verdict for both. later deliberations focused on punishments. The courtroom drew a large, tense crowd as Remus pleaded to save the woman while the crippled clown and his wife showed visible emotion.
Paris March 8 Associated Press reports French geographer Schrader calls Capt Scott’s death the final act in the Pole obsession. He urges a global circumpolar observatory network to study ice fields and atmospheric currents to forecast storms and seasons and aid drought warnings. The note also mentions prominent Americans backing a Paris theatre project and an anti advertising campaign by Old Paris Committee.
