Koepke Made First Lieutenant in Wisconsin State Guard

James Reilly of Cascade area fell dead Tuesday while working on a highway in a gravel pit. Survivors include two brothers Owen and Charles. Parents were early pioneer settlers in the county. Coroner William Van Zanten is conducting the inquiry.

Americans Drive Deep into Belleau Wood Night Battle
In heavy fighting near Belleau Wood the Americans captured 224 German prisoners including officers, took many machine guns, and expanded control to the wood.
