Teth Comes After Long Illness

Over two hundred attended a free minstrel show at Born's park sanitarium staged by the institution's patients. The evening featured a physical culture display by Mr. Price of Amherst Wis and music by the Colonial orchestra directed by F Nelson. Out of town participants included Thomas New Rome Wis Price Amherst Carberry Chicago Donohre and Johnson St Paul with Johnson drawing strong applause for his prior stage experience.

Socialists Seek Dietz Pardon at Milwaukee Convention
Alderman John Meyer and John Severin and John Bauernfeind attended the Social Democratic state convention in Milwaukee. A resolution was read and adopted unanimously calling for the pardon of John Diettz, serving a life sentence at Waupun. A copy will be sent to Governor McGovern. Safety on Lakes Urged as Congress Considers Seamen Bill
The Chicago Federation of Labor urged immediate passage of H R 23673 to require 40 percent deck crew with three years on deck and rising to 65 percent. crews must understand officers and lifeboat crews must have two able seamen. Delegates to contact representatives and senators. The meeting also referred resolutions to defund sympathy for two I W W leaders jailed for murder during Lawrence Mass strike, denouncing the I W W and its leadership.

Was Not The Guilty Party Arrest Report
A short item in the Press states Jack Johnson formerly of this city was arrested in Lincoln Nebraska but investigators found he was not the guilty party. He bought four and a half yards of cloth for four dollars from a supposed pecker. the seller was the guilty party. Mr Johnson runs a hotel in Lincoln.

Opera House Thrills Crowd With Trio and Slick Acts
The new bill at the Opera House last night pleased the crowd. We Got-a-Trio headlined with novelty features, comedy and harmonies. Frank and Truemah Rice the Talkative Tumblers impressed with constant chatter during tumbling. George Gore line the Mexican mimic delivered instrument imitations and an eccentric clog dance. Mack and Burgese offered Casey the Clock Maker in a strong Irish singing comedy sketch. The act closes with first class moving pictures.
