A 1709 12th Street family in the Shave household was taken seriously ill. Investigators consider cheese as a possible cause, prompting medical checks and household precautions.
Five members of the Shave family of 12th Street are recovering from a serious illness believed due to a poisonous ingredient in cheese eaten at a meal. Mrs Shave did not partake. Samples from the store where purchased were sent for analysis as doctors await tests to determine if ptomaine poison caused the illness.
American League standings show Boston Washington Chicago and Philadelphia in pursuit with scores listed. National and American Associations note rain cancellations and key matchups, including Cubs and Erdmanns. A Saturday afternoon Crocker Ch company Wood Employees game ended 6 to 5 with a notable triple play by the Wood team.

Harry Russell came back from Milwaukee with his car after filling the tires with a substance to avoid punctures. He says the method stops punctures and intends no more trouble. Last Sunday he drove a Carnival party to Fond du Lac, during which several punctures were encountered. He was compelled to stop briefly to send for assistance.

A 75 member Sheboygan Eagles delegation led by the Eagles Fife Drum and Eagle Corps will travel 7:06 AM Tuesday to Janesville via Fond du Lac with a special coach. They arrive 12:45 PM, parade music includes a gong sung by drum corps. Uniforms are white duck trousers white shirt white hats red neckties and blue belts. They will distribute booklets titled Sheboygan the Land of Contentment to promote the city along the route.
Ex mayor Emil Seidel of Milwaukee will address a gathering at Waldschlösschen park Sunday June 23. Local Social Democratic party members have planned ending a monster picnic inviting the public to attend.
Hopkins and Port Washington met in a low hitting contest as Port’s golfers delivered an errorless exhibition and held Hopkins to no runs. Buster Braun dominated on the mound, fanning multiple batters while the locals pushed across five decisive runs, aided by strong hitting from Mason, Giesecke, Liebl, and Ristow. George Hunt, drenched by rain and hail, stole a rain coat and two umbrellas from a Lincoln avenue saloon run by Max Schurrer on Calumet Plank Road. Police nabbed him shortly after six o clock as the weather cleared. he faces Judge Giblin this morning.
