Attorney Frank W Cosgrove Fond du Lac who served as special counsel in the Winnebago Waupun Mendota investigations will question the board and probe why certain mysterious deaths were not investigated.
Milwaukee reports National Recovery Administration director A Matt Werner arriving to open offices as Roosevelt’s May 15 executive order targets employers who dismiss workers for reporting code violations. NRA will act swiftly when a worker is discharged for such reporting, with hearings and protections to avoid premature publicity.
George Howard, 19, pled guilty to pointing a revolver at Policeman Theodore Hastings at 2 30 am on April 23. Circuit Judge Edward Voigt sentenced him to an indeterminate one to three year term at Waupun state penitentiary. Howard previously faced larceny and auto theft convictions in Green Bay reformatory and Fremond county Iowa. Police say he aimed the revolver during arrest. one cartridge was nicked, suggesting intent to fire.
Wisconsin Republicans nominate a slate to contest the fall elections with five state offices and U S Senate. John B. Chapple tops the Senate field, Howard T. Greene for governor, Harry W. Griswold for lieutenant governor, John F. Jardine for secretary of state, Edw J Lamp for state treasurer, and Victor M Stolts for attorney general. The convention endorsed the nominees after spirited contests and adjourned after adopting the platform amid about 1500 delegates and followers.

Mrs. Anna Jurich faces two warrants charging treatment in an attempt to prevent childbirth and practicing medicine without a license. The complaint by Mrs. Sophie Obradovich details a talismanic ritual involving mansages bandages pillow corners and mattress slitting and a liquid poured into a pillow causing a fainting episode.
