Judge Tony Washeski fined $1000 plus costs for operating a vehicle while intoxicated after an accident on Alabama Avenue. Washeski, who denied drinking, allegedly staggered as police testified the car struck a Rauber vehicle parked at 1230 Alabama. The incident occurred with Washeski eastbound on Alabama and the other car on the north side of the street.

Albany N Y four When Senator Heflin, foe of Governor Al Smith speaks tomorrow at the gates of this Smith stronghold he will have police protection at the governors orders against interference The governor has issued a formal order directing that state troopers be assigned to see that Mr Heflin and his audience are not subjected to molestation The meeting is scheduled for Hurtsville just outside Albany.
President Coolidge caught the first trout of his Wisconsin summer vacation on the Brule River near the Island lodge. Col. Starling of the Secret Service later confirmed the catch and described the fish as a beauty. Coolidge planned another outing as he settled into life at the summer White House in Cedar Island Lodge.
Governor Fred R Zimmerman of Wisconsin announced his bid for a second term as governor in a fifteen word statement. He said he would seek renomination for governor at the September primary. He left Madison for Janesville by plane and planned to fly to Sheboygan for cornerstone laying at a new Masonic temple. The move signals a contest among Progressive and conservative wings at Green Bay on June 20 to select a candidate. Earlier names include Joseph D Beck La Follette progressive and John Ferris Milwaukee state government league. Campaign headquarters will be in Milwaukee Janesville.
Colonel Charles A. Lindbergh left Curtiss Field at 9 25 a m DST en route to Madison Wisconsin to receive an honorary degree from the University of Wisconsin. He planned a stop in Buffalo and Detroit and was accompanied by William B Mayo of the Stout All Metal Airplane company.
Walter J Kohler arrives at Kohler airport aboard the Kohler monoplane after a GOP national convention trip via Kansas City and Bloomfield Iowa. Passengers include Herbert Kohler John Kohler and George E Meyer. Pilot Werner Bunge, a former Sheboygan man, will be Kohler's regular pilot.
