Private Arthur Fistler 49th Infantry, son of Mrs. Fistler of 1606 North Fisher, Milwaukee, reported severely wounded on the Western Front. Brother William also serves in France. Fistler described as first Wisconsin hero wounded amid Belleau Wood fighting near Chateau Thierry.
Washington June 14 sixty two more marines were placed on the honor roll for casualties in France eight killed in action six dead of wounds and forty eight wounded severely Major Benjamin S Berry of New York City and Captain Oscar Gouldwell of Crawfordsville Ind were among the severely wounded in action while Private William T Budjon of Marinette Wis and Private Arthur Fistler of Sheboygan Wis were listed as wounded severly and the corps has borne the brunt of heavy German attacks near Chateau Thierry
St Johns Newfoundland reports the steamer Ascania of the Cunard Line ashore at Rosablanche twenty miles from Port au Beaques on June 14 with 182 persons aboard. No definite word yet on her condition. The sponge’s commercial value is noted as historically known though not in the Old Testament.

A mob of Dutch fishermen stormed a hotel where German airmen are interned after a submarine shelled their lugger's lifeboats. Survivors swam ashore after twelve hours, three crew killed, as locals tried to lynch the interned Germans in retaliation.

William Glenzer a 62 year old bachelor farmer of Route 3 was found hanging in his barn by Gustav Klemme of North Eighth Street. Neighbors saw him last Monday. coroner Dr. Varn Zanten ordered removal to Kroos Undertaking. A Johnsonville nephew and three brothers were notified.
Washington June 14 The Port Ry Associated Press reports the British steamer Keemum arrived at an Atlantic port this afternoon as the Navy Department was advised.
Madison Wisconsin June 14 Assemblyman John J Koepsell of Sheboygan toured the capital today distributing campaign tickets naming him a Republican candidate for state treasurer. Incumbent Henry Johnson has announced reelection and Solomon Levitin, president of a local Madison bank, is expected to enter the race next week.
Residents of Sheboygan Falls face higher insurance premiums after the city adopted a water works system under public recommendations. Insurers rerated the city, doubling some rates, despite assurances that the system met Wisconsin Utility Commission standards and would lower costs for citizens.
A May 28 blast at the Skoda gun works near Pilsen killed more than 300 people and injured about 700, according to dispatches. The explosion was heard 150 miles away and caused widespread destruction.

Dr Arthur Genter pleaded guilty before Judge Bassuener in municipal court to using abusive language toward Patrolman Lorier. He admitted calling him a dirty pup and argued extenuating circumstances.
