The Knights of Pythias affiliated lodge Ygan Lodge No 81 marks a 1890 founding with twenty founding members. The brief notice highlights its origin and early membership in the fraternal group.
In Sheboygan W H Burke keeper of records for Seals since the lodge's inception, led the Knights of the original charter members. The lodge, founded June 12, 1890, now surpasses 200 members as it celebrated its second anniversary with remarks on Knighthood’s values.

Thomas Seibert of the C. Reiss Coal company was badly bruised after falling from an overhead tramway shortly before 5 PM. He was carried to St. Nicholas hospital for treatment, with possible internal injuries feared.
Rev William Hoehle longtime German Methodist minister and Sheboygan resident died at St Nicholas hospital at seven this morning. Born October 1 1823 in Boehme Germany he came to New York in 1846 and married Elizabeth Maurer in 1855. He served churches across Wisconsin including Batavia Wausau Almond Green Bay Oshkosh Appleton Sheboygan and Stevens Point, building twenty four churches. Funeral from German Methodist church Saturday at two o'clock conducted by Rev Schreiber with Rev Vance assisting. Body in church from one to two.

A cow wandered down Ninth street early today and was chased by police to near the William Mueller saloon on Pennsylvania avenue. Officers rounded up the animal and placed it in the police barn before Max Rapki, owner of 1337 Carl Court, arrived to identify and reclaim the cow. He said he bought it yesterday and left it in his barn with an unlocked door. The cow reportedly freed itself and left again. Rapki plans to secure the door.
The program to be performed at Fountain Park features Schmidt's band with selections including March Salute to Uncle Sam, Overture Poet and Peasant V Suppe, Loreley Paraphease Nesvadda, Waltz An Autumn Reverie Rolfe, and Sousa The Fairest of the Fair Intermission. Additional pieces include Remich's Hite-arr Lampe and Dalbey's Grand Fantasia on Old Folks at Home, with Light Out encore.
Audiences at the Opera House last night enjoyed a strong variety lineup headlined by Carroll, Chatham and Keating in At Crow's Nest Inn. Revelle and Derry, Florence Lowe, Wieman and Keates entertained with gymnastic, violin, and clever acts, followed by two reels of films. Tonight features home talent including Laula Lehman and Arthur Johne among others.

The funeral for William Kroos Sr was held at the family home on Erie Avenue at 2 pm. Four sons and two sons-in-law served as pallbearers. The private service was led by Rev. Schultz of Trinity Lutheran. Kroos, in his 94th year, died on Wednesday after a long life in Sheboygan since 1847.
