Paris June 13 The peace treaty with Germany will be rewritten and reprinted to incorporate explanations from the allied reply to German counter proposals. The new document, unchanged in principle but with clarified text, will be shown to Germany on delivery day.
A damaged tug Fearless No 2 owned by H A Sonnemann built at Manitowoc caught fire shortly after leaving port. Cabin and five rooms burned out. Firefighters aided by Arctic and Good Siening extinguished the blaze. A clash between shipyard police and fire crews briefly occurred but no injuries or insurance.
United Press dispatch notes reports of mutiny in Archangel front lines provoked by low rations and harsh conditions. Marines and infantrymen from Michigan and National Army units expressed reluctance to advance, demanding better treatment and noting heavy fighting by Americans. One sergeant recalled only one sack of rations per day per company, with scarce sugar, while sleds and open-air marching were reported. Washington June 13 an extremely close vote with the result in doubt was forecast today by senate leaders discussing the probable vote of the Knox resolution signed to separate the leagues of nations from the peace treaty proper. Senator Knox announced he would probably call up the resolution next Tuesday and deliver a prepared speech on it. His effort to have the senate consider it will be opposed by the utmost administration leaders today. This opposition may start a long filibuster. The vote upon motion to call up the resolution will be accepted by both sides, senators said today, very significantly reflecting a senate's view on the resolution itself. If a majority can be obtained for the motion to lay the resolution before the senate Knox and his supporters virtually feel they can push their resolution.
Alec Stalfan, held for the murder of his seven year old niece Stephanie Zebrowski, hanged himself in his county jail cell after his arrest. Authorities say the suspect cut the girl’s throat when she shamed him by his arrest. the incident was reported by Associated Press.
The remains of Carol A Sleep a University of Wisconsin graduate student in letters and science were sent home to Elkhorn after she drowned in Lake Mendota while swimming with two companions. Edith Pine River Forest and Alberta Heller Beaver Dam were rescued by Norman Avery and King Woodward.
United Press reports a Leavenworth scheme where four escaped convicts were arrested following a federal probe into a prison counterfeiting operation. The group allegedly forged checks totaling over 100000 dollars using prison tape and presses, cashing U S Treasury checks outside the facility. Twenty arrests were claimed, with four main suspects held for forgery as the plant’s operations were uncovered.

Eduardo Bernstein of the German peace delegation provoked a storm at the Majority Socialists gathering by saying most terms arise from necessity though harsh. The remark drew applause from some and jeers from many, with Noske and other leaders rebuking him as Scheidemann vowed to press on for a "greater victory" and to resist being used as "ware slaves."
Madison June 18 The Czerwinsky bill would place water and supply under the State Board of Health covering water purification sewage and refuse disposal and stream pollution. If signed it may force cities like Milwaukee Racine Sheboygan Kenosha Manitowoc to install purification systems within two years and seek further legislation in 1921.
Sheboygan will host the twenty fourth annual convention of the Grand Temple of the Pythian Sisters from Monday June 16 to Wednesday June 18. Supreme chief Mrs Hireth Hutchinson Woodforde will attend, the first Wisconsin visit, with about one hundred guests and delegates from thirty four temples expected. The opening day features a social hour, reception, dance, magical numbers, Arthur Kubnert’s orchestra, and a military drill by the Iowa Yankee degree staff.
