Milwaukee officials announce arraignment for thirty-one men, mostly wealthy Milwaukeeans, on federal migratory game law violations. Warranted defendants include executives and managers from Milwaukee firms and others in Oconomowoc Racine and Bay City. Case alleges illegal storage and conspiracy to stock wild fowl in cold storage for personal consumption.
Randolph R. Conners asked Gov. Kohler to allow ouster actions against Lieut. Gov. Henry A. Huber Atty. Gen. John W. Reynolds and Secretary Theodore Dammann alleging violation of the corrupt practices act in 1928 campaign. He cites sworn testimony from a Dane County probe and seeks separate or joint prosecutions in respective circuit courts.

Patrons of the Pius cheese factory near here pass a resolution to withhold trade from rural merchants handling butter substitutes. Gordon Burke owns the factory. The well attended meeting urged greater use of real butter by residents of Wisconsin and refused to trade with any merchant selling butter substitutes.
Former Chief Justice William Howard Taft grows weaker in Washington hospital, with doctors saying recovery is unlikely. Gustave Johnson age 45 of Milwaukee died at 5 40 pm Tuesday from a fractured skull suffered when he fell down stairs at a soft drink parlor located at 1501 Indiana avenue. He was general superintendent for Paul Reison's Sons, contractor on a Kohler pottery plant and supervised construction on the Security National Bank. He had rested on a Davenport in the Freimund residence at the rear of the parlor when the fall occurred. authorities called to investigate.
Secretary Mellon told the House banking committee that branch banking is sounder than chain or group systems but should be limited to definite economic areas. He declined to testify until he can study the facts and expressed confidence the committee will uncover important details.
