Mexico City reports General Victoriano Huerta declares military dictatorship after arresting President Madero and family. Diaz named commander of the army while Huerta proclaims provisional government. Senate votes to oust Madero and pledge support to Huerta amid nationwide turmoil.
Nels Gunderson son of Captain and Mrs Nick Gunderson of 502 North Sixth street nearly severed the middle finger of his right hand when a jack knife sprang shut while he cut wood. He was taken to the hospital for dressing and returned home. he is a high school student.

Nicholas Stone of New York City formerly of Sheboygan died yesterday in Mt. Sinai hospital of Brights disease after a brief illness. He was 44, survived by a wife and sister Mrs. A. E. Toennies of 601 Center Avenue. He worked earlier for Vollrath Enameling and Crocker Chair, moved to New York in 1889 as a shipping clerk, and will be interred in New York. funeral date not yet announced.
Washington February 19 President Taft will make his last trip as president traveling to New York with Mrs Taft for a banquet of the American Peace League and other affairs returning Sunday. Woodrow Wilson has wired that inaugural plans are satisfactory officials are relieved over Mexican affairs.
