An audience at First Congregational Church in Sheboygan heard Mrs. Peter Reiss deliver a praised Berceuse and an encore Love in Springtime with the Apollo orchestra. The concert featured twenty five musicians under conductor FE Schwalbe and highlighted solos and ensemble pieces earning high applause. Praises extend to W F Salzenburg AP Treieck Erwin Sachse and the full ensemble for a high class performance.
At Eagles hall last evening the Sheboygan Business Men's Association discussed a spring minstrel show at the opera house to raise funds and boost city publicity. Officers advocated home talent to draw crowds and unite members, with a two member committee to report at the next meeting.
A sensational Journal report alleges Miles Nugent was assaulted for 125 dollars in a saloon, a claim denied by Peter Kauer who says Nugent owes him 8 dollars for drinks. Nugent, frequently seen at Iscuer's saloon, reportedly fell after a dice game, injuring his face and prompting medical attention.
