Fredonia resident Peter Eisentraut a 43 year old garage man and his companion Kathryn Burton 29 were arrested Sunday night in front of Eisentraut home following an elopement in his wife’s automobile two weeks earlier. Eisentraut claimed to have just returned from Tinos to see his two children and plans to start work in Illinois. He is charged with abandonment and forgery. Burton is charged with forgery for allegedly signing Eisentraut’s wife’s name to obtain money from a life insurance policy.
Ned M Root longtime advertising staff representative for The Sheboygan Press died suddenly at 2 40 pm at his home 616 New York avenue. He had reported to work a short time before and after lunch complained of chest pain and died of heart failure. Born February 1 1867 in Sheboygan he was 20 years with The Press and survived by his wife and two sons Clyde Kiskadden of Chicago and Charles Kiskadden of North avenue. Funeral plans not announced.

Six Joliet youths left for an Aurora dance. an icy road caused their car to hit a freight train. Victims are Robert Spangler 22 Alice Breen 20 Gertrude Whitmer 18 Henry Schneiter 22. Alice Mitchell 18 survived in critical condition. William Thompson 23 escaped with minor injuries. Young Spangler died today. The crash occurred as the driver braked at the crossing.
Los Angeles teenager Bobby Trout, 18, broke multiple endurance records for women fliers after a night flight from Mines Field lasting about 17 hours 12 minutes. She set a new night sustained flight record, potentially broke the 60 horsepower engine distance mark, and landed with expert skill despite fatigue.
Officials said a body found near the reservoir on Ey road may be Edith Mae Dierdorf the 10 year old West Terre Haute Indiana girl missing since January 25. The case prompts renewed search efforts and official statements.
