Harrison Randolph, 24, of Lincoln, Nebraska, went calmly to his death on the gallows at Folsom Prison California. The trap was sprung at 10 03 and Randolph was pronounced dead at 10 16 after praying aloud and walking unassisted.

Edna Carlson of Racine was killed instantly north of the city when struck by a limited North Shore train as she waited at a suburban station. Snowy conditions led her to mistake the limited for a local and step onto the tracks expecting it to stop. A similar accident occurred at the same station about a year earlier involving Natalie Kraus.

Manitowoc Wise We Two West Port Steamship Co Ottama the Missouri and the Waukegan are to be laid up here today for repairs after battles with the Michiganee floes. The Missouri’s propeller shaft blades were sheared by the lake ice on the voyage from Grand Haven to Milwaukee. The Waukegan, after a 23 hour fight up from Chicago, had more than 60 feet of steel plating torn from her side and will proceed to drydocks only after repairs at Kenosha.
