A blood stained overcoat and a heavily chloroform scented scarf were found on a road near Pargersville. Detectives from Indianapolis are on the case in connection with 10-year-old Edith Mae Dierdorf who has been missing from Terre Haute for over a week after selling a newspaper to a new customer.

Col. Charles A. Lindbergh flew a United States Air Mail plane from Miami on the first leg of a 2027 mile flight to Cristobal Canal Zone. J. T. Trippe and John Hambleton of Pan American Airways rode aboard. the route includes Belize and Havana with Belize as an overnight stop.
Emil Nuernberg aged 60 fractured his left ankle when he slipped on ice behind his home at 1420 Illinois avenue. The accident occurred just after 6 in the evening as he stepped into the yard to close the barn door. He was taken to St. Nicholas hospital for several days of treatment.
