A Cedar Grove man, 38, employed on the Milwaukee Northern section crew, was killed instantly when a passenger train and an interurban car passed the same spot on the Cedar Grove line near Weeden's station. Federal court actions started against about twenty roadhouses in southern Wisconsin. The Royal Palace cafe near Kenosha was closed and its proprietor arrested after a raid a month earlier. Other closures include the Bungalow Inn near Fond du Lac, Badger Gardens in Fond du Lac County, a Port Washington saloon at 304 Franklin Street, and several Milwaukee road houses and saloons.
