Snowplows In Operation On Highways In Sheboygan County
County snowplows were put in operation on all concrete highways in Sheboygan county before 4 a m today and will stay on duty to keep traffic moving, County Highway Commissioner A C Droppers said. Snow fell six to eight inches Monday night with drifts up to two feet along the lakeshore, but highways crews report little trouble. two heavy truck plows were recently purchased and two more are to follow, making this winter's fleet the strongest yet. The older five heavy trucks were overhauled, will be limbered for deep snow, while blade plows handle ordinary storms. CWA work was slowed by snow and freezing temperatures.

Fire Destroyed Oldenburg Building in Green Bay District
In sub zero weather a major Green Bay fire destroyed the three story Oldenburg building housing the E M Roprner furniture store and stock. Ten families fled apartments nearby as flames led to a second blaze in the Kamm building.
