Col. Lindbergh and Mrs Lindbergh arrive in Bathurst region after a 1875 mile daytime flight across the South Atlantic in a single motor monoplane. The couple receive huge crowds as stores close and streets decorate for celebration.
A Chicago man Richard L. Riley 23 surrendered at Kansas City police headquarters claiming involvement in a Wisconsin holdup and murder at the Twin 43 night club near Waura. He says three accomplices fled to California and Wisconsin detectives pursue. A warrant for degree murder is on file.
Clarence Norris, second Scottsboro retrial defendant, is condemned to death by a Morgan county jury. The verdict mirrors Haywood Patterson’s outcome in the same case, following a long deliberation from yesterday morning to today. Norris faced charges of assaulting Victoria Price aboard a moving gondola car near Scottsboro, with Ruby Bates’ recanted testimony as a key defense point.

Paul I. Kelleter was dismissed as director of conservation by the state conservation commission on November 22 the action approved unanimously but he learned of it December 2 and received formal notice later. The resolution granted a two month paid leave from December 1 1933 to January 31 1934 to pursue federal or other service. Kelleter said at his Milwaukee office today he would not comment further. The report also notes boatmen's warnings for the Upper Lakes with shifting winds and possible snow or rain.

A survey led by M W Torkelson of Madison explores designating the Kettle Moraine area in Sheboygan and Fond du Lac counties as a federal national park. The plan would help withdraw marginal lands from farming and may lead to future government negotiations to acquire the land, with a purchase decision after the report. The region spans about 32 000 acres and features kettle holes and rolling moraine hills, some forming lakes such as Crooked Lake and Cedar Lake.
O W Schmitz a member of the school board spoke on city and national school issues to about 110 parents at Jefferson School last night. He spent about two hours and offered limited opportunity for public views on budget cuts term shortening pay cuts and possible consolidations.
