Drowning of Rudie Hohfeld in Amazon River
Rudolph Hohfeld son of Prof and Mrs A R Hohfeld of the University of Wisconsin drowned in the Amazon River while on a grant surveying expedition for Standard Oil. He graduated in 1908 and played on the 1922 Wisconsin varsity football team. He was known to Sheboygan students from 1919 to 1920 and will be remembered for his football days.
