Milwaukee August 20. Motorman Harry Williams admitted feeling incompetent as a motorman after the Milwaukee Northern interurban crash that killed three. The inquest found the operation of slow locals on the same track with speedy interurbans hazardous, but blamed neither Williams nor the road alone. The verdict, delivered at 530 pm, left responsibility between company and employee unresolved. Williams testified he did not know his stopping distance at proportionate speeds.
Associated Press reports C. J. Fletcher of Indianapolis was killed at Glacier Park when he plunged 600 feet while scaling Blackfoot Glacier this afternoon.
