Grassold served with Company H at Chilton then transferred to Company C and went to France where he was fatally wounded while leading his unit. He was the son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Grassold of Chilton and the only Company C officer to die in service.
Madison A warrant for the arrest of Andrew Fisher owner of Fisher Beverage Company of Ocoro mowoc was ordered by Prohibition Commissioner Smith. He also ordered Fisher’s brewery closed for suspected manufacture transportation and sale of intoxicating liquor in violation of the state law. England is coming back as a world power in sports with the spirit revived since the war. The article notes England must take sport seriously to win.

The village of Kohler voted nearly unanimously to extend its southern and southwestern borders, increasing area from 760 acres to about 2,000 acres. In the annexation vote 96 ballots supported expansion, one opposed. A separate annexation poll in the new territory showed all 16 votes in favor. The move aims to develop Kohler into a model city and may push toward city status once population thresholds are met.
United Press reports the U S railroad board ruled that railroads must deal with unions exclusively when forming new working agreements. The Pennsylvania Lines petitioned to confer with elected employees rather than union representatives, a decision seen as a victory for the closed shop in railroading.
