Stahl Co. to Erect New Structure in Sheboygan

The Stahl Implement and Seed Co. will erect a new 60 by 75 foot one story building on North Ninth Street near Erie Avenue in Sheboygan. They recently purchased the former C. O. Fairweather lots, expand from N Seventh Street location, offering a full line of farm implements, garden utensils, and seeds. Proprietors Henry and Thomas Stahl have built a strong local patronage through straightforward dealings.

Daehn Awarded Damages in Duchow Case

The jury in Daehn v Duchow returned a judgment for 550 in favor of the plaintiff after a long session from 10 30 yesterday morning to 4 45 in the afternoon. The judge charged two verdicts one acquittal and one with a blank space for the damages amount. The case drew great attention and the evidence was sensational throughout. The officials will remember its peculiarities and the wholesome evidence produced.

The drowned man George Lawrence, missing since April 6, was located at 3 pm by a dredge on the Two Rivers harbor. His remains were sent to relatives here, with burial planned in this city. he leaves a wife and one child.

Panic spread at Chicago Union Hospital when fire damaged an adjacent building. Twenty nurses evacuated patients while sixty five others were controlled by staff after a fierce struggle. No injuries were reported.

Escaped convict caught in act at Random Lake

Henry Feldhberg alias Herman Stimle, who broke jail last August with three others, was arrested early today at Random Lake after emerging from the Weters store basement burglary. An accomplice, a lookout, was caught before noon. Feldhberg, found with stamps and a stolen ladies watch, is linked to the Granville post office safe explosion and the Hamm Brewing Co. thefts. He resisted arrest but was captured by Wetors, Dries, and Haas with Deputy Retzer arriving. Federal inspectors may question him about stamp possession.

Meyer calls meeting on New Jersey Avenue bridge

John C. Meyer president of the common council issued a call for a special meeting this evening at 8 in the council chamber to consider matters related to the New Jersey Avenue bridge, stating only the mayor or president may call such a meeting in the mayor’s absence. City Attorney Edward Voigt advised the move. Mayor Dieckmann declined further comment.
