Libbie Nau Refloats After Water-logged Stay at Harbor
The schooner Libbie Nau, water-logged in the harbor and resting on the river bottom, was pumped out by steam siphon from the steamer City of New Baltimore. Floated Sunday morning and towed to Sturgeon Bay for dismantling and conversion into a lumber barge, under Capt. Anton Isa Bell. Capt. Fred Lampher currently commands the Libbie Nau as ship-keeper.

Madison April 21 Phil Allen vice president of the First National Bank of Mineral Point Wis serving a ten year term at Fort Leavenworth prison for wrecking the bank is in Madison to testify in a suit against its directors. He is a prison librarian guarded by E G Smith who allows him city liberty. Allen writes of his life in prison and says the mad race for wealth led to his downfall. He was a long time church worker and Sunday school superintendent at Mineral Point.

Narrow escape after motorcycle crash near Arndt mill
John Eggert of the Sheboygan motorcycle club, living at 1128 Ontario avenue, survived a serious wreck when his motorcycle struck a rock near the Arndt mill. He received facial wounds requiring stitches, was treated locally, and returned home with no skull fracture. Others from the club assisted and witnessed the accident.
