Deadlock in Council Persists Over President Fight
For three hours last evening a council chamber deadlock stalled the contest for council president. Republicans back Alderman Haack while Democrats support Alderman Krueger and socialists back Alderman Meyer. The chamber overflowed with floral tributes and spectators as ballots showed Krueger, Haack, Meyer, Jung, and Krueger leading on the seventh ballot.

Pioneer Mrs Anna Kroos Dies After Pneumonia
Mrs. Anna Theresa Kroos of Sheboygan county died at 1 15 this morning after a twelve day pneumonia illness. Born in 1833 in Dobeln Saxony she came to America in 1847. She married William Kroos in 1850. he died in June last year at 94. They lived at 716 Erie avenue. The Kroos family were longtime church workers with founder ties to Trinity Lutheran and celebrated golden and diamond wedding anniversaries in 1900 and ten years later.
