Wisconsin Health Warns Falls Rising Among Elderly Victims
State Health Officer Cornelius A Harper notes falls deaths climbed to record highs as Wisconsin ages. Provisional figures show 627 deaths in 1987 with 80 percent victims over 60. 1936 and 1937 counts were 670 and 664 respectively. Most fall deaths occur April to September.
