Kern County gang crackdown nets arrests and weapons seizures
During four months of investigation the Kern County Sheriff's Office aimed to disrupt a violent criminal street gang involved in assaults and drug trafficking. On September 17, 2010, about fifty deputies and twenty officers from multiple agencies served ten search warrants and six arrest warrants in Bakersfield. Eleven suspects were arrested and two handguns, about two pounds of methamphetamine and three pounds of marijuana were seized along with drug trafficking evidence.
