Baby Limas Need Color in Freeze Processors Search
Processors of Baby Limas seek color in the fro zen product at peak season as green color fades. No satisfactory variety exists for processor, consumer, or grower. Experiments at University of California College of Agriculture aim to create a high yielding, consumer pleasing strain with adequate quality. Numerous hybrids have been created and are being selected to reach that goal.
