Frances Krause Aunt Francie and Her Life in Wasco
Local resident Frances Krause known as Aunt Francie lived to 92, married 57 years to Bernard, had no children, and inspired a bowling alley at the site now Wasco Elks Lodge. A longtime checker from 1941 to 62 at Topps Market in Shafter, she mentored many customers and helped hire friends at the potato shed where she started as a floor grader. She values family, community, and the staff at Golden Living Center, calling them angels on earth.
