Shafter woman donates model train layout to Depot Museum
Alitha Taylor donated a detailed model train setup crafted by her late husband James E Taylor to the Shafter Historical Society for the Depot Museum. The piece recalls Jim's early passion from a teen purchase funded by a paper route, with a 1945 first layout and handmade buildings bearing a Shafter depot sign.
