Kuhfuss praised planned spending cuts and tax changes, urged restraint on new spending, and warned against the dangers of an import surcharge. He noted the potential inflation curb from a $4.7 billion budget reduction and highlighted the value of exports to agriculture while cautioning about retaliatory tariff risks.
