Old photographs sought in Shafter for fair display
The City of Shafter and the Chamber of Commerce request photos and slides of Shafter buildings areas and people for a slide presentation at Kern County Fair. Photos loaned will be returned. Bring them in labeled envelopes to City Hall or the Chamber office at the Depot. Call August Caires at 746-6361.

Bakersfield College Evening Class Schedule
Last week to enroll for Bakersfield College classes. Monday offers Fitness for Living 6 30 to 8 30 pm at SHS gym led by Jack Burtner and History of Early California 7 to 10 pm in SHS room 22 with Robert Mickels. Spanish S2A 52B 7 to 10 pm in SHS room 16 with John Acosta. Tuesday presents Basic Usage and Grammar English 7 to 10 pm with Gwenda Nielsen and College Chorale 7 to 10 pm in Richland School Music Building room 1 with Mark Reppert.
