Shafter 4-H Club shines at Kern County Fair
The Shafter 4-H Club had a strong Kern County Fair showing with Reserve Champion steer in Beef, Best of Show and Reserve Best of Show in Poultry, top placings in Showmanship and Sheep, and multiple awards across Arts and Crafts and Fashion. Members earned Judge's Choice pins, Garden honors, and the group earned animal auction eligibility as a whole. The club begins a new year with fresh officers and projects, meeting the third Thursday each month at 7 p.m.
