Two Bond Deadlines Hit Richland School District
The Richland School District faces two $700000 bond payments at once after the Kern County Board of Supervisors approved a double payment in the 1953 54 budget. The shot total raises property tax to about 1.40 per 100 valuation, with an initial $301000 expected to be raised. Auditor Don Ruggenberg noted the budget approval leaves little room to maneuver.
