Rev Wayne Owen officiated and interment followed at Shafter Cemetery. Foster born April 20 in Oklahoma lived 25 years in Shafter county. survivors include mother Pearl Evers Oildale daughter Billy Jean Bell Redondo Beach brother Paul Foster Nipoma five sisters Teague Thompson Palmer Daniel Pittman and Gladys Pittman plus one grandson. Mish Funeral Home Shafter had charge.

Complete rites were given for Joseph Cain of Buttonwillow at Rosecrans National Cemetery Point Loma California with a firing squad and pallbearers in full dress. He served in the Army Engineers 1943 to 1946. Local service was held Friday at 10 a.m. at Agee Family Funeral Home with Rev. A Stinson officiating. He was born December 12 1924 in Damascus Arkansas and died October 9 near Buttonwillow. He lived in Buttonwillow ten years and worked for Clifford Houchin 3 H Ranch. Survivors include his widow Johnnie Florence seven children Joseph Jr James Edward Danny Lee Susan Joann Francine and Barbara Jean all of Buttonwillow and his father Booker Cain of Damascus Arkansas.
