Di Giorgio land sale rules set by Interior secretary
Secretary Udall approves a task force report on selling 31 excess Di Giorgio lands in the San Joaquin Valley. Fresno Bureau of Reclamation will accept purchase applications for 4,400 acres divided into 40 to 160 acre units with prices from 64,300 to 294,500. Units sold December 2, 1964 with buyer restrictions to encourage family farming and no resale within five years.
