Richland approves new voting system in district move
RLSD trustees vote unanimously to switch from at large to trustee area elections for the board. The decision follows pressure from Hispanic groups and public input at a regular meeting. A March or June 1993 election is proposed with an estimated 10,000 cost. a waiver option is also considered.

Counterfeit Twenty Dollar Bills Spread in Richland Area
Counterfeit twenty dollar notes have circulated to local merchants since mid August. Police say the fake bills appear authentic and several have passed through a bank and other businesses.
