Harp to Stand Trial October 12 on Minor Contact Charge
Ronald Roy Harp a 43 year old from Shafter is scheduled for trial on October 12 on charges of unlawful sexual contact with a minor. He is on unpaid leave from Kern High School District after a lengthy bond set at 20000 dollars. Harp has worked as a maintenance man and bus driver at Shafter High School and argued with a 17 year old's parents over the alleged relationship. His attorney said Harp did not accept a plea deal at the readiness hearing and expects acquittal.
