A committee of camp officials Shafter Wasco businessmen and farmers will meet at 7 p m at the migratory camp manager Charles Barry home to select 16 of over 100 applicants for 40 new farm worker houses adjacent to the Shafter Migratory Camp. To be eligible heads of families must work on local ranches have stayed in the district a year and show a good work record. The housing program aims for sanitary low cost living with each house including a small plot and water for a home garden. Move in begins early next week.

General Petroleum reports Wagner No 4 in the Shafter field test flowed 5 000 barrels of oil and 5 000 000 cubic feet of gas daily. The well, third in the field, was expected to yield 7 500 barrels but tested at 500 after final flow. Vedder sand found at 11 327 feet bottoming at 11 510 feet with 183 feet production structure. The No 3 well work began at Section 35 28-25 with four boilers set and drawworks moving to the new site. Van Ness well near 8 500 feet continues drilling since spudding a month ago.
