House approves funding for China Lake and Edwards
United States Congressman Bill Thomas announced last week that the House approved new funding for military programs including 400 million for intelligence and counterterrorism and 63 million for China Lake and Edwards. He said the measure supports the war on terrorism and family care. The package funds Phase 1 construction at China Lake and upgrades at Edwards along with space and rocket propulsion efforts, aiming to accelerate phase two of a 15 year program to boost space and missile capability by 2010. The bill now goes to the Senate.
