Wife Beater to Undergo 90 Day Evaluation in Court
Superior Court Judge Marvin E Ferguson ordered Donald Gene Altman 34 to a 90 day evaluation at the Department of Corrections after he pleaded guilty to battery against his estranged wife Donna Altman 34. Police found Donna unconscious with facial bleeding at their East Euclid home and Altman later began a three day psychiatric study at Kern General Hospital.

Frank Herbert Loewen, 19, of 29544 West Tu lane, was arrested after 11 p.m. Saturday on Central Avenue for drunkenness. Hands cuffed, he allegedly struck an officer and tripped on entry to the station, injuring his chin. He was taken to Kern General Hospital for sutures but refused treatment.

PG&E Plans Multi-Plant North Fork Kings River Expansion
PG&E outlines a major project with about 1000 craftsmen at peak and 260 more for transmission line work. Three tunnel sections totaling nearly four miles will connect Courtright Lake and Lake Wishon.
