Tehachapi Manufacturer Expands Plant Growth to 10000 Square Feet
Spencer Lees of Tehachapi reports phenomenal growth since establishment five years ago. The firm doubled its plant size to 10000 square feet in June and now has daily capacity of 100 to 160 dozen garments. In 1962 the company cut 332000 yards of cloth and used 21274080 yards of thread. Lees plans to use 450000 yards of cloth in 1963 with 35 machines and expanded facilities for cutting sewing and trimming.

John Calvin Reily 68 a former deputy and chief of police in Shafter died September 25 on a fishing trip in Butte Lake. Born in Kansas in March 1895 he served 31 years in law enforcement including Shafter deputy and city police chief. Survived by wife Grace and a son John Jr of Fresno. Funeral was September 30 at Union Church with Rev. John C Heal. buried Greenlawn Bakersfield.
