California Travel Leaders Back White House Tourism Plan
Local dignitary Ann Gutcher of the Kern County Board of Trade led 135 California travel and tourism leaders at the White House Conference on Travel and Tourism in Washington DC. Delegates approved a national strategy with four goals to boost economic impact, quality of experiences, and U.S. appeal. California pressed for Visit USA, open ports and skies, and cross border travel reforms with Canada and Mexico.
