Superior Pipelines to Build ITTC Sewer Extension Project
The city council awarded a $242,478 Phase I contract to Superior Pipelines for a Sanitary Sewer Line Extension from ITTC into the regional outfall line. The project is funded by an EDA grant not to exceed $250,000 for Phase I, including boring under the ENSF railroad tracks. Construction anticipated Week of Dec 10, 2001, with Phase I continuing a 30 inch line about 20,000 feet north along Zachary Road canals. total EDA funding expected to rise to $1.6 million for the overall project.

The Shafter High School Fine Arts Department stages The Curious Savage with performances Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Fred L Starrh Performing Arts Center.
