All Kern County landfills and transfer stations will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Normal winter hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily except Buttonwillow, Lost Hills, and Glennville sites have limited schedules. For details call 861-2159 or toll free 1-800-552-KERN option 6.
