Suspect Arrested Near Police Station in Burglary Probe
Dale Edward Chesser of Corcoran was arrested by Shafter Police for attempted burglary after noises were heard at the rear of Frank Russell Mfg. Co. across from the police station. He awaits Kern County Jail court date as other departments pursue burglary connections. A stolen bicycle and a tire puncture report also surfaced, tied to local residents.

Diltz to Have Role in Water Users Parley
Kern County hosts a three day Water Users Conference at the Bakersfield Inn from November 15 to 17. C. E. Trotter of the Arvin Edison Water Storage District says the event offers workshops and panels to discuss water district management and operation. Robert C. Diltz will join a workshop on the role of the water district director. Robert J. Pafford Jr will moderate a pesticides panel for Region 2 of the Bureau of Reclamation.
