Shafter High Welcomes Ralph Renz as Industrial Arts Teacher
Ralph Renz returns to Shafter High School as the industrial arts instructor after starting his career at Richland Junior High fifteen years ago. A Bakersfield native and Bakersfield High School graduate, he teaches metal and wood shop, drafting, and small engine repair, noting the pleasant area and social ties with parents. He recalls his first class at Richland when students teased that they would finally attend his course, and he now teaches students who had junior high exposure alongside newcomers from Lerdo Maple and Buttonwillow schools. Donations from local companies fund tools and engines, with more contributions welcome. Ralph and Marsha reside in Bakersfield with their children Ry and Stacey.
