McCarthy clears path for Gulf Coast housing relief project
Assembly Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy and Pastor Steve Truitt announce a major step to deliver 50 modular homes to Biloxi Mississippi after waiving state fees with CalTrans and the Business Transportation and Housing Agency. The project aids Hurricane Katrina victims and refurbishes units costing about 4000 dollars each. Local donations support transport and materials as three homes have already reached the region.
